Morton

This post will be a short one, because things are hectic. I am back from summer camp. It was really great and I would like to come back sometime. But right now I am mourning.

Morton died. He did so two nights ago. Morton, my iguana, started having seizures when I was gone for camp. He died in my mom’s hands.

Morton was an amazing iguana. We had him for around 3 years. He was brought to us by some friends who were picking up a snake from a lady. The previous owner found him in a tree. Morton was very docile and tame. He rarely bit us, and enjoyed our company.

We believe he had kidney failure. Around May, he started acting odd. He just didn’t seem himself. He started trying to eat the carpet, and seemed to be depressed. Thursday night, he had a seizure, and he continued to have them until he died Friday night, July 1st. He was around 5 years old.

  1. I’m sorry to hear about Morton. Even though pets aren’t people, they are valuable members of the family, and it’s sad to lose them!

  2. :(
    That’s so sad.

  3. I’m so sorry, Gecko… :-(
